Do you know LPG? This is liquefied petroleum gas. A substance which is used as fuel for certain cars in France. This is good, because its price is falling. For the first time in months, it even goes below the euro at the pump on average in France.
This is what our partner, Carbu.com, details in any case. According to data from December 17, the average price of this fuel is below the euro per liter mark! Be careful, not by much. It actually appears at… €0.999/L, for this day.
Still, this is an average. This therefore means that motorists experience mixed fortunes. Indeed, according to our partner, the price range is wide. It ranges from 0.878 €/L to 1.481 €/L on December 17.
However, few motorists will be able to benefit from it. Indeed, LPG remains an underdeveloped fuel. Only certain models can benefit from it. While this fuel remains more economical and ecological.
Diesel down, gasoline up
This goes hand in hand with a reduction in the price of diesel in recent times. The price of diesel is decreasing this week, by 0.4 euro cents per liter. On the other hand, the price per liter of SP95-E10 gasoline is up by 0.4 euro cents. A trend found for other types of gasoline.
This development will therefore displease some users. That of gasoline, on the rise, is all the more surprising since the price of oil is falling! The barrel of dated Brent appears, like diesel, at -$0.4, at $73.6.
Enough to give a second consecutive week of reduction in prices. It remains to be seen whether this will be reflected generally at the pump in the weeks to come.
