At the age of 20, this young Belfortain knows court hearings only too well. His criminal record is full of 17 mentions, mainly for cases of theft or traffic offenses. But this Tuesday, December 17, it was for narcotics that he appeared before the correctional chamber. On June 13, he was arrested after a fight in Belfort. At the police station, the police smelled cannabis. On him, the young man has 1.37 grams of cannabis resin. Later, it was on anonymous information that the police were informed that he was carrying out drug trafficking at his home.
Sales network on Telegram
His phone is then searched. Inside, investigators discover that he participates in a Telegram channel dedicated to the sale of narcotics. “Write to us for ordering, free and discreet delivery! A gift after ten orders and possible to arrange from 50 grams. » The traffickers have a real advertising plan. The defendant tries to clear his name by explaining that the channel is used by several dealers and that he is just one customer among many others. “I was never a trafficker, I just helped out my friends to be able to pay for my personal consumption. »
A revolver stolen from another dealer
But on his phone, the most worrying thing remains these photos where he can be seen in possession of firearms. In police custody, he initially tries to deny it by explaining that the photos were taken at a friend’s house and that the 6.35 mm does not belong to him. When the policeman points out to him that the tiles are the same as at his home, he admits to having stolen them to defend himself. “Because I fought with the little brother of a big Dardel dealer and also robbed another dealer, I suffered retaliation. My mother’s home, where I live, was damaged. I needed a weapon for my defense. »
Justifications which do not really convince the prosecution: “For you, stealing a weapon is justified, consuming and selling drugs too, it is quite worrying. » The court reduced the requisitions by not imposing a prison sentence but 24 months of probation, a fine of 500 euros and a five-year ban on carrying weapons.
