The economic dynamism of Deux-Sèvres in the spotlight with the Top companies

It’s an unmissable event in the Deux-Sèvres economic world: the Top Companies evening, organized Monday December 16, 2024 by the group The New Republic and its partners, brought together 450 people in .

An event intended for “highlight the companies that have made their mark this year and made the department shine”recalled editor-in-chief Luc Bourrianne. Our daily newspaper, itself a local company, is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and “innovates without losing its humanist values inherited from the Resistance. »

Essential innovation in a context of uncertainty

The history of Bellot Minoteries, which received the first prize of the evening, dates back to 1789, underlined its current manager, Louis-Marie, representing the 16e generation, committed to the defense of the agricultural sector.

Agriculture, which plays a key role in the economy of Deux-Sèvres, was honored on the stage of the Moulin du Roc. The Sèvre et Belle cooperative was awarded an award for its commitment to the energy transition. The Gors cheese factory, prize for cooperation and partnership, recalled the culmination of a long fight for the AOC Mothais-sur-feuille. The favorite of the evening was awarded to the Parthenay Breeders’ Meat Society.

In an economic context marked by uncertainty, innovation is essential, as recalled by Gildas Léauté, general manager of Poujoulat, number one in chimney flue and wood energy, which is diversifying into the field of ventilation. The industrial company Apsys received the territorial anchoring prize for its long-standing presence in Sainte-Verge.

Maracas

Also innovative, in a completely different field, is the Fuzeau company, a key player for fifty years in the field of school education and music learning. Its new products have been designed for musical entertainment in retirement homes. The distribution of 450 maracas to the public, shaken rhythmically under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Fuzeau, was a great success.

Christine and Jean-Pierre Fuzeau, with the mayor of Bressuire Emmanuelle Ménard, set the pace in a room where 450 maracas were distributed.

Having established businesses does not exclude the reception of young start-ups, like Alexandre Fleveau and Guillaume Dollinger, who created a guest house and an interior design workshop in Thouars.

Crunchy Cloud at the top

Whether they are young or historic, the life of companies is not linear. Laëtitia and Richard Morin shared with communicative good humor and emotion the story of Nuage Croquant, the tea room they created in the city center of Niort, and with it the setting “a new life”. A story that spoke to all the managers, who awarded them the Top of the Tops at the end of the evening.
