Thirteenth in the lightweight rankings, the phenomenon Paddy Pimblett is therefore just ahead of Benoît Saint-Denis. In recent hours, he has also mentioned the name of the Frenchman, whose popularity within the UFC has recently plummeted.

Both born in 1995, they are close behind each other in the UFC rankings. Respectively 12th and 13th in the lightweight hierarchy, Benoît Saint-Denis and Paddy Pimblett have many other similarities. This had also pushed the latter to consider a merger a few months ago, he who saw himself collaborating with his French counterpart in order to continue their progress side by side.

A proposal which, however, remained without follow-up, just like the one made beforehand by the English fighter. Impressed at the time by the BSD results, he was logically open to a duel against him in the cage, which would have allowed him to climb the rankings in the event of victory. A possibility which nowadays seems to make much less sense in his eyes.

Logically outraged by the comments made by his interlocutor, the native of Liverpool certainly does not intend to honor his request by agreeing to compete against BSD. He also made it known on this same story with a clear and unflattering clarification for the Nîmes warrior:

It remains to be seen whether Pimblett already knows the identity of his next opponent and whether it will indeed be a “superior” fighter to the God of War. For his part, the latter is also still waiting to know against whom he will have the opportunity to relaunch his career in the UFC.
