Thank the Vendée
This great Diversity eveningon December 14 at the village hall of Bourg-sous-La Rochein La Roche-sur-Yon, Aboubacar hopes to make it a celebration of Vendée cultural diversity.
Music, shows, concerts and meals at the table are on the program.
As well as a meeting with Falmarès, a 22-year-old writer from Nantesof Guinean origin, with a remarkable career.
The idea is to thank the Vendée for having created this cultural mix.
A native of Ivory Coast, Aboubacar is 42 years old.
He arrived in Paris 20 years ago to study business.
A year ago, Aboubacar Doumia was at the initiative of a gathering of around ten community associations to create a single structure, which today brings together 150 members.
There were the Ivorians, the Congolese, the Cameroonians, etc. : each ethnic group was in its own corner. We had to bring everyone together to be able to bring projects to fruition.
Since then, several major actions have been carried out, in particular, the running of the catering stand during the launch day of the Olympic Games, in Vallée Verte, last summer.
Great evening of diversity
“This gave us credibility vis-à-vis institutions,” explains Aboubacar.
For this great Evening of Diversity, the association of Africans of Vendée hopes bring together 400 peoplepour promote dialogue and exchanges between peoples and above all, recover funds.
“We want to raise funds for humanitarian work in an African country. »
This year it will be the Crescendovie orphanagewhich welcomes disabled children, in Grand Bassan in Ivory Coast, which will benefit from the profits of the evening.
