For its 13th edition, the organizers of the Marché des terroirs held in Doubs kept their promises. Always the same care for the welcome and accommodation of Montfauconnais coming from Aisne, neighboring Switzerland, Haute-Loire, Isère, Gard, Hautes-Pyrénées, Dordogne, Maine -et-Loire and of course Lot. The only ones missing from this annual meeting were the Meuse, prevented by a lack of available volunteers.
From Friday evening, the multipurpose room containing all the chalets gradually filled up. Then everyone went to eat according to their desires.
The choice was wide: from Atlantic oysters offered by Maine-et-Loire to ravioli from Isère, including Tarbais cassoulet from the Hautes-Pyrénées or tripe from Haute-Loire or even parsley snails from Doubs. The Lot, for its part, has never stopped offering gourmet dishes which have been acclaimed. On a bed of green salad, duck sausage, dried duck breast, Quercy pâté, stuffed neck, cabécou and of course foie gras awakened the taste buds of the Francs-Comtois who came in large numbers.
Throughout the weekend, it was also possible to shop for festive wine and cheese products from the four corners of France without forgetting the succulent Swiss chocolate.
Our four Lotois present returned tired of course, but happy again this year to have been the ambassadors of local products.
