Winter seems to have settled its suitcases on the roof of Gard. Aigoual and its surroundings, notably Esperou, are now adorned with their white coat! And this is just the beginning: further snowfall is expected from Friday.
Last Sunday, December 8, snow was already falling on Aigoual, the highest point in the department at 1,567 meters, as well as in its surroundings, notably in Esperou. Departmental Council webcams bear witness to an enchanting winter setting, something to delight snow lovers!

20 to 30 cm of snow from Friday
And it's not over: further snowfall is forecast from this Friday, December 13. The reliefs will once again be affected, with snowflakes expected down to relatively low altitudes. On Aigoual, forecasts predict a layer of 20 to 30 cm from 1,400 meters above sea level.

Enough to breathe new life into the winter at the Alti Aigoual ski resort, located on the slopes of the massif. Excellent news for lovers of snowy landscapes and well-equipped hikers!
