RHODANIEN The Agglomeration postpones the adoption of its 2025 budget

The Rhone Agglomeration was to vote on its initial 2025 budget this Monday evening during the last community council of the year. Finally, this vote is postponed, says the president of the intercommunality Jean-Chrstian Rey.

In a press release, the elected official indicates that “Due to the national situation and the adoption of the Government's motion of censure, the State currently finds itself without a budget for the year 2025. Consequently, the adoption of the budget of the Gard Rhone agglomeration is postponed for a few weeks. »

Car “our budgetary construction was based on the economic hypotheses which had been announced on the basis of the finance bill discussed in parliamentcontinues Jean-Christian Rey. With this censorship, our country is entering a period of unprecedented uncertainty which does not allow us to calmly approach the vote on the city's budget. » The president therefore decided to remove the deliberations related to the budget from the council's agenda, which was however maintained this Monday evening.

However, “It is crucial for the agglomeration to vote on its budget in December in order to guarantee visibility for its investments and the companies that contribute to their realizationhe recalls. However, the absence of a national budget prevents us from having the forecasts necessary for this adoption which we deeply regret. » And Jean-Christian Rey concludes by affirming that “In a context marked by uncertainty, we remain committed to managing the agglomeration with rigor and transparency, while strengthening control of our expenses. »
