Mirage 2000Ds on “close air support mission”

Contacted, the Air Force confirmed the completion of a “ close air support mission » in this sector, « between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. local time« .

This mission was carried out by Mirage 2000Ds from the Nancy-Ochey air base (54). It was not an exercise but training of the air forces, as is carried out several dozen per week, day and night, throughout the metropolitan territory.

“In addition to a fairly dense civil aeronautical environment at low altitude, linked to the proximity of Strasbourg-Entzheim airport, the two municipalities cited are located under training areas dedicated to specific Defense activities“, also recalls the Air Force.
