The Grand Convent of Gramat organizes a Christmas market Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December 2024. 37 local artisans will present their creations: jewelry, souvenirs, artistic creations, care products, confectionery, culinary aid products or culinary crafts (jams, charcuterie, pastries, etc.).

This year, some farmers from the peasant reception network will be present and will offer activities. In particular,

Blandine Petitpoisson from the “l’Arche de Marcilhac” farm in Lamothe-Fénelon, will inaugurate the batch of the Grand Couvent, with distribution of rolls for the early Advent mass. L'Lous Tressous association of Fourmagnac will offer a basketry workshop for beginners with demonstrations by members of the association.

Driving flocks of sheep with a dog is the daily activity of shepherds. Mister Organic Sheep will show the talents of the dog and shepherd pair to lead our caussenardes into the valley of the great convent on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m.

For 8 months, the Grand Couvent has been producing its honey thanks to Olivier Lessseure from the “Abeille et Nature” farm.beekeeper harvesting in Caniac-du-Causse. He will lead the workshop “From the hive to honey” on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Other activities are planned for the weekend: carriage ride in the park of the grand Couvent (paying); pancake and mulled wine stand; the early Advent mass on Saturday at 6 p.m. by the students of the Sainte-Hélène school complex and the distribution and blessing of rolls from the Grand Couvent by Father Alexandre. Without forgetting the banda on Saturday lunchtime and Sunday lunchtime.
