A cool and snowy week. Snow has fallen in abundance in recent days, allowing resorts in the Pyrenees to start their ski lifts earlier than expected. Another consequence of this winter weather : five departments of the Occitanie region are placed on alert yellow avalanches and Toulouse suffered a (mild) cold spell.
Yellow vigilance activated

A yellow vigilance which will continue this Thursday, December 12 if the weather conditions do not improve in these five departments.
Toulouse is in the cold

More don't panic! “The maximums should rise again on Wednesday in the South-West and around the Mediterranean, more frankly on Thursday in the South-West, where they return to averages of mid-December.”, indicates Météo-France.
On the other hand, if Toulouse residents will be exempt from rain and wind and will find mild temperatures for the month of December, frosts should become more frequent and stronger in the South-West…
