These schoolchildren from Aveyron plant a lime tree in memory of Clémence, their friend who died at the age of 7 last May

This lime tree was named “Clémence's lime tree”, to remember their classmate who died in May 2024.

In the “natural class of Petits cailloux, an educational land area for Alfrench schoolchildren”, a moving tribute to Clémence took place, in the town of Alrance. The school responded to the “Sprouts of Hope” call for projects proposed by Groupama.

This action aimed to help children discover and understand the functioning of a tree and its ecosystem through different educational approaches, to raise children's awareness of biodiversity and its preservation but also to raise awareness among residents through concrete action carried out by children.

For their deceased friend

Thus, the students were accompanied during three sessions by Laurent Diat, from the CPIE du Rouergue. The last session resulted in the planting of a tree, which the students chose.

It is a lime tree which has become “Clémence's lime tree”, to pay tribute to their little friend who left them last May at the age of 7. A rich moment of sharing and communion associated with an educational time attended by representatives of the local bank Groupama d'Oc, National Education, the municipality and many parents and grandparents.
