and also… A heritage collection
This festive event will also call for solidarity with the official launch of the fundraising campaign for the restoration of the bell tower of the St-Jacques-le-Majeur church, at 10:30 a.m., on the common stand of the town hall and the Heritage Foundation. Reminder: the Magnac-Bourg church, partially classified as a historic monument, was damaged by lightning in June 2023. The work, estimated at €30,000 including tax, includes the repair of the dome, the renovation of the walkway, and protection lightning arrester (the repair of the electrical system and the installation of a protective net has already been financed by the municipality in order to be able to reopen the building last December). In the presence of the territorial delegate of the Limousin delegation of the Heritage Foundation, an information stand will allow everyone to discover how to contribute to this project allowing the preservation of this heritage.
