What will happen to Michel Barnier's government? This Wednesday, December 4, the National Assembly will debate two motions of censure. However, the one tabled by the New Popular Front could well be adopted since the National Rally plans to vote on it. The Prime Minister tried everything by calling on MPs to “a reflex of responsibility” pour “the best interest of the country”, without succeeding in convincing the socialists.
“Pathétique”: the guest of Apolline de Malherbe not tender with Michel Barnier
This Wednesday, Eric Coquerel, deputy for France Insoumise, was the guest of Apolline de Malherbe in Face à face on BFMTV. The latter notably reacted to Michel Barnier's speech on TF1 and France 2 the day before, which he described as “pathetic”. “By clinging to this position of Prime Minister, to which he was initially not necessarily very committed, Michel Barnier shows a weakness”, launches the LFI deputy.
More generally, Eric Coquerel – in the usual line of LFI deputies – criticizes the Prime Minister for a lack of conciliation, whom he described as “of a man of the right”
whose objective is motivated by “a desire at all costs to maintain a policy that enriches the richest”, disregarding the general interest. The deputy will be responsible for defending at the podium the motion of censure tabled by the New Popular Front.
“A little paradoxical”: Apolline de Malherbe calls out to her guest
For Apolline de Malherbe, the sudden “understanding” between the New Popular Front and the National Rally deserves to be mentioned. “You are going to have the voices of the RN
which you yourself say in your text that they are vile, extreme right, you almost insult them and at the same time, you want their vote, it's a bit paradoxical”, underlines the journalist. Unconvinced by her interlocutor’s defense, she adds: “ It's a bit reminiscent of those who went to vote with a clothespin on their nose. That is to say, we want your votes, and at the same time, we say we hate you”.
