A successful first for the Prefecture of with DuoDay

For the first time, the Prefecture of and the territorial administration of the State in the department participated in the DuoDaya national event dedicated to the professional inclusion of people with disabilities. Last November, the initiative allowed several pairs formed by administration agents and hosts to experience a day of exchange and discovery of the missions of public services.

A day of immersion and sharing

Seven participants – Virginie, Vaiana, Alexandra, Jeremy, Nicole, Marie, and Abderrahman – were welcomed by their respective godparents: Delphine, Christophe, Marie-Dominique, Isabelle, Nathalie, and Laurent. Guided by their mentor, they discovered the behind the scenes of various services: civil protection, management of aquatic environments, interministerial communication, issuing of titles, human resources management, and even the coordination of actions related to large predators.

Prefect Jérôme Bonet closed this day rich in exchanges with a meeting time which confirmed the success of the event. “The results are clear: both godchildren and sponsors are frustrated at already having to say goodbye”summarized the organizers. This feeling testifies to the quality of the interactions and the common desire to extend this experience.

A vocation for professional inclusion

This first immersion allowed those welcomed to familiarize themselves with the work of state agents and to express their desire to contribute to these missions. To go further, the prefecture, in collaboration with Cap Emploi 30 and its director Virginie Hens, plans to offer periods of role-playing in a professional environment. This approach aims to extend the inclusive commitment initiated by this edition of DuoDay.

A collective mobilization welcomed

The organization of this event mobilized numerous stakeholders, including the SGCD (Common Departmental General Secretariat)godparents, as well as employment operators, who ensured the link between the participants and the services. “A big thank you to our guests for their curiosity and motivation, and to all those who made this day possible”declared the organizers.

This first DuoDay marks a turning point for the prefecture and its services, which affirm their commitment to professional inclusion. An event bringing hope and new opportunities to build an inclusive future in Gard.
