The 7 Fontaines estate, in Fagnon, will be completely redeveloped and become a tourist complex, with the establishment, on 30 hectares, of the Landal Group, creator of the Center Parc concept, which will build 180 tourist accommodation houses there, capable of accommodating in total, between 800 and 900 people, but also a swimming pool, a bar, a grocery store. A wellness and beauty center, run by a private owner, will also be located there, instead of the golf course club house. The Abbey, the heart of the estate built in 810, and now in disrepair, will be completely rehabilitated to accommodate a restaurant on the ground floor and hotel suites upstairs.
Patrick Fostier, Vice-President of Ardenne Métropole in charge of economic development, looks back on the historical footprint of this site registered with the Bâtiments de France
A 600 m2 event room will also be built on the estate, capable of hosting receptions, seminars, trade fairs and exhibitions, to respond, as well as accommodation, to a tourist pitfall on the territory of the Agglomeration. A project which will allow this clientele to participate in the economic development of Ardenne Métropole since they will be advised and encouraged to visit the tourist attractions, to play sports, and to shine in all the attractions and businesses in the area.
This large-scale project, representing an investment of 40 million euros, as Patrick Fostier explains on Radio 8
Work should begin at the end of 2025 on the operational phase, for delivery of the site in the first half of 2028.
