Notre-Dame de : two companies from Seine-et- in the spotlight

Two companies Seine-et-Marnaises, who worked towards this renaissance, saw their work praised, like that of many other artisanal companies, by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron during his final site visit November 29th.

The first company is AIM Electronics. Specializing in technical and electrical installations, particularly alarm and surveillance systems, this SME was created in 2001 and is based in Emerainville. The second is Cirème Echafaudages. Founded in 1994, its headquarters is in , but one of its agencies is located in Claye-Souilly. It is the French leader in the rental and sale of scaffolding.

The Ferrières forest provided 60 oaks

Furthermore, Seine-et- contributed to the reconstruction of the Parisian religious building in another way: in 2021, the Île-de- Region and its agency Île-de-France Nature (manager of more than 10,000 hectares of regional forests) had, in fact, donated 60 oaks to restore the frame and spire of the cathedral, or a quarter of the wood supplied by communities in France. These trees, all belonging to the natural heritage from the Ile-de-France region and, for some, over 200 years old, were recovered in the Ferrières forest.

In return, this forestry sector will be the subject of a valuation on the part of the Île-de-France Region which will develop a educational trail baptized “Notre-Dame” and inaugurated in the spring of 2025. 2.5 km long and comprising ten stages, this trail will allow the public to discover all the stages of the reconstruction of the cathedral’s framework.
