Among the many struggles led by F. O. in the social and medico-social sectors, that of the education of children with disabilities is part of a necessity and a priority. For the union, the State must take its responsibilities and provide the means, both human and financial. A petition is online.
While this Tuesday, December 3, is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Force Ouvrière de l'Aude union wanted to recall that all its forces are united to ensure that schooling is adapted to the needs of each student with a disability. Also, it is clear, as Jacques Vieules, Fnec-FP-FO departmental secretary points out, that “the disability of children is not taken into account at the level it should be. The State must provide the necessary care to these children commensurate with their disability, and then see in which structure is best suited They can go to school today, we would like to put them all together!”
At La Gravette in Carcassonne, there is a shortage of 35 hours of support for children with disabilities…
Christelle Arator, Snudi-FO departmental secretary, takes the opportunity to discuss the problem of the lack of AESH where, at the Gravette school in Carcassonne, for example, “They don't have the means. The parents of the students had to intervene with the academic director. At La Gravette, there is a lack of 35 hours of support for children with disabilities… By wanting to make an inclusive school for save money, these children are not well taken care of!”
In the department of Aude, the Departmental Union of Social Action (Sdas 11) Force Ouvrière says it is worried about “the current policy which weakens and precarizes the non-profit social and medico-social sector”. Members of the Sdas 11 council, Michel Delpech and Arnaud Lorin continue on the“educational inclusion, which is such a mystification that we want to put it in place because it wants to be done without the necessary human and financial resources. It won't do it without us either!”
Withdrawal of act 2 of the inclusive school
“In primary education in Aude, there is a shortage of 150 places in the Medical-Educational Institute, namely 150 children who are deprived of education and support”adds François Doriath, departmental secretary of Fnec-FP-FO and member of the MDPH commission. For several weeks, the Force Ouvrière union has put a petition online to demand schooling adapted to the needs of each student. It is required “the defense of specialized and adapted education, the maintenance and creation of places in social and medico-social establishments, the withdrawal of the decree aimed at generalizing the outsourcing of ESMS, the recruitment of specialized teachers and AESH , the withdrawal of act 2 of inclusive schooling, the abandonment of PAS and PIAL… As well as the recognition, security and revaluation of all professionals linked to the education of students with disabilities”. There are already more than 6,000 signatures…
