After , Haute- taxis will demonstrate on Wednesday in Puy-en-Velay

After spending two days in for some where there were 50 from Haute-, the taxis will show their anger on Wednesday in Puy-en-Velay.

This agreement, put in place between the CPAM and taxi artisans, aims to regulate the medical transport of patients to hospitals for follow-up care (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, dialysis, etc.) or simply consultations in an already highly regulated profession.

“Most of the time, people don’t know why we are demonstrating. However, we will be strongly impacted, and so will customers,” assures Eric Tavernier, president of the taxi artisans union (SAT).

On Wednesday, taxis meet at 6 a.m. in the heavy goods vehicle parking lot in Aiguilhe. At 6:30 a.m., they will reach the Social Security district in a convoy where they will demonstrate their opposition to the project, distributing leaflets and signing a petition.

A delegation must be received at 10 a.m. at the CPAM. After this interview, the taxis will demonstrate in front of the prefecture then at the Emile-Roux hospital before certainly returning to the Social Security building around 2:30 p.m. for another one-day action. “In Lyon, there were 50 taxis from Haute-Loire, we are delighted with the mobilization”, appreciates Eric Tavernier who does not plan a snail operation, like in January 2024. “We are not going to bother the citizens, but rather those who bother us.”
