FC Lorient will play against Tours FC in the round of 32 of the French Football Cup. The match has been scheduled for Saturday December 21, at 6 p.m., at the Vallée du Cher stadium and will be broadcast live and in multiplex on beIN Sports 1.
Facing Tours (Indre-et-Loire), Olivier Pantaloni, the Merlus coach, will return to the club he coached for more than a year between 2013 and 2014.
The Lorientais qualified for the round of 32 of the competition thanks to two trouble-free victories against opponents from lower divisions. They first beat Ruffiac-Malestroit (R2, 2-0), in Ploërmel, then US Monnaie (R1, 5-0) in Amboise.
Note that if successful, Lorient would play its round of 16 on Wednesday January 15, between two championship matches.
