Savoy. Traffic will be modified for a few nights in the Monts tunnel

These are routine jobs, but they still need to be done. Between Tuesday 3 and Friday 6 December 2024 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the Center-East Interdepartmental Roads Directorate organizes upkeep and maintenance work on the Monts tunnel in order to “ensure the safety of the structure and the users who use it. »

The work will be done in the Grenoble-Aix-les-Bains direction for one night, and in the other direction for the other two nights.

Rules to respect

The Savoie prefecture has specified the changes that this will bring to traffic:

In the Grenoble-Aix-les-Bains direction (North tube):

• Traffic will be prohibited in the North tube, direction Grenoble-Aix-les-Bains, and switched to the South tube (direction Aix-les-Bains-Grenoble) which will be reduced to one lane per direction.
• The entrance ramp to interchange no. 17 “Bassens” will be closed and traffic will be diverted via local routes.
• The exit ramp from interchange no. 16 “Cassine” will be closed and traffic will be diverted via local routes.

In the Aix-les-Bains-Grenoble direction (South tube):

• Traffic will be prohibited in the South tube, direction Aix-les-Bains-Grenoble, and switched to the North tube (direction Grenoble-Aix-les-Bains) which will be reduced to one lane per direction.

• The entrance ramp to interchange no. 16 “Cassine” will be closed and traffic will be diverted via local routes.
• The exit ramp from interchange no. 17 “Bassens” will be closed and traffic will be diverted via local routes.

Speed ​​will also be reduced and overtaking prohibited.
