Take out your diaries! Your next meeting Une Heure, Une Oeuvre will take place on Friday December 6 at 6 p.m. at the Salle de la Micro-Folie in Châtillon-sur-Indre. For this evening, the François-Rabelais media library invites us to meet Mathilde Collin.
Mathilde Collin, Lecturer in public law at the University of Tours, head of the Master's degree in Heritage Science at the Center for Higher Studies of the Renaissance (CESR). It addresses the evolution of the garden from the medieval period to the Renaissance, highlighting the continuities and ruptures which marked this evolution. The aim is to approach the transformations from one to the other, through a brief study of the characteristics encountered in monastery gardens, castle gardens but also in ordinary ones, starting from the Middle Ages. to consider their evolution during the renaissance. Traces, ornaments, what do they tell us about their time, its organization? This living heritage is in fact the reflection of a society and its influences. EUR.
