Creillois basin. Record seizure of 520 kilos of cannabis by the Oise national police

Three men, aged 17 and a half to 24 years old, were presented to the investigating judge of the court of Senlisthis Thursday, November 28. And this as part of an investigation relating to the organization of a massive importation of drug on the territory.

“In 2023, investigators from the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS) of the interdepartmental service of the judicial police of Oise (SIPJ) began an investigation leading to the arrest of several individuals suspected of being involved in international drug trafficking supplying the Creillois basin,” explains Loïc Abrial, the prosecutor of the Republic of Senlis, in a press release.

A structured criminal network

Of the investigations In-depth investigations made it possible to identify other individuals suspected of occupying a place within this structured criminal network.

“A legal operation, launched from Friday November 22, with the assistance of the research and intervention brigades (BRI) of , , and , led to the arrest, on board vehicles loaded with 520 kilos of narcotics (herb and cannabis resin), from the three individuals previously identified, reports the magistrate. They were taken into custody and the goods were seized.”

Presented to the investigating judge on November 28, 2024, the three suspects were indicted. Two of the three individuals were imprisoned: all are from Oise and unfavorably known to the police and the justice system. The third, a minor aged 17 and a half, for whom the prosecution had also requested pre-trial detention, was placed under judicial supervision by the judge of freedoms and detention (JLD). “I appealed against this placement under judicial supervision”, specifies on this subject the public prosecutor who had requested detention for the three people arrested.

A market value of 4.2 million euros

The drug, whose resale value is estimated at 4.2 million euros, was intended for the French market.

“The investigation continues following a letter rogatory issued to the SIPJ of Oise by the investigating judge of Senlis,” concludes Loïc Abrial. Those indicted remain presumed innocent.”
