The draw for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France took place this Monday December 2, 2024. The composition of the meetings, which will take place December 21 and 22is now known. And it's a big piece that's coming because FC Rouen will quite simply host LOSC!
For the clubs of Seine-Maritime, Quevilly Rouen Métropole (QRM) and FC Rouen (FCR) both secured their place among the 64 teams qualified for the next round. Le Havre Athletic Club (HAC)who plays in Ligue 1, enters the fray at this stage of the competition.
A great series for the QRM
The FCR (N), during the 8th round, did not tremble against AS Ginglin-Cesson (R1) by winning 3-0. This success allows the Red Devils, playing in National 1, to qualify for the second consecutive season at this stage of the competition.
Quevilly (N), for its part, gained the upper hand over Liancourt Clermont (R2) thanks to a 1-0 victory. The Leopards remain on a good dynamic with a series of six games without defeat. The HAC (L1) enters the competition, joining the qualified teams from the previous rounds.
The draw
Rouen (N1) – Small (L1)
Saint Philbert of Grandlieu (N3) – Quevilly (N1)
Briochin Stadium (N2) – Le Havre (L1)
The big poster is for the club from the city of Rouen. When receiving Losc, the march promises to be as big as during the epic of the previous edition. The FCR then defeated Toulouse (then defending champion) and Monaco, second budget in L1.
By receiving Lillethe national club has the luxury of facing, for the third time this year, a first division team. The stakes, the tension, the emotion and above all, the communion in perspective. By hosting such a gala poster, the FCR is already touching the famous magic of the Coupe de France.
The round of 16 is scheduled a month later, in mid-January 2025, continuing the adventure for the qualified teams.
