A 17-year-old young man, arrested Friday November 29 in the case of desecration of graves in Blagnac (Haute-Garonne), was presented to a judge in Toulouse and placed under judicial supervision, reports France Bleu Occitanie Monday December 2. He is suspected of being the author of seven damage to graves on September 22.

Some graves had been completely opened, others partially, and a skull had been found on site. “Rather old tombs” et “of people who have died for more than 20 years” according to Joseph Carles, the mayor of Blagnac who had expressed his “anger” and its “astonishment” at France Bleu.

This unaccompanied minor, of Algerian origin, and known to the courts, was arrested in Marseille by the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC). His DNA fingerprints were found in the Blagnac cemetery. He was therefore wanted. The young man told investigators that he did not remember defacing these graves because he was using drugs at the time of his visit to Toulouse. However, he did not deny his possible involvement. The Toulouse public prosecutor's office had opened an investigation for violation of graves. The Blagnac town hall had filed a complaint.
