The E. Leclerc group has launched a recall procedure concerning “Sarthois black pudding with onions” sold in its stores throughout France. The product is potentially contaminated with listeria monocytogenes (agent responsible for listeriosis), according to the sheet published on the Conso Recall website last Friday.
The incriminated charcuterie was sold by the cut, under the brand “Nos Régions ont du talent”, between November 9 and 26. The batch in question bears the code E3562657 and the health mark FR 72.331.001 EU.
Symptoms to watch out for
“People who have consumed [le boudin] and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headache, and body aches, are invited to consult their treating physician,” explains the reminder. Listeriosis is a potentially serious disease with an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
