Scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected across the northern region before experiencing a strong cold snap this weekend, according to the National Hydrometeorological Forecast Center.

A cold wave is expected to affect the northern region from December 6, which will cause a sharp drop in temperatures across the region until December 8.
HAS Hanoitemperatures should vary from 17 to 20oC during the day, dropping further to 16oC at night.
While mountainous areas could see temperatures of eight degrees Celsius, several places will see minimums below six degrees Celsius.
From the province of Hà Tinh to that of Quang Ngai (Center), the arrival of a strong cold front will extend the rainy conditions from December 6.
The northern region is expected to experience more cold spells until the end of December. Residents are therefore advised to keep informed of changes in the weather while taking proactive measures to mitigate the impact of the cold.
