The end of year celebrations are synonymous with solidarity for popular relief. Also, the Foix popular relief branch is organizing its big Christmas clearance sale on Saturday December 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in front of its premises located at 6 bis cours Irénée Cros “The clearance sale will be located opposite, along the Ariège , at the Phoebus restaurant that everyone knows,” confides Françoise Sénévat, member of the association. The volunteers will offer you a varied selection of items at solidarity prices: clothing and shoes for men, women and children (new and second-hand), toys (new and second-hand), the profits from which will benefit the association. “You will also find crockery, books, festive clothing and Christmas decorations to prepare for your holidays in a friendly atmosphere. Come and support this great solidarity initiative,” emphasize the volunteers.

A clown show and festive packages

So that the magic of the end-of-year celebrations shines within the association, the popular relief organizes “An end-of-year show for the children of the beneficiaries”, underlines the volunteer: “We organize a snack/show , with the presence of a clown, which is reserved for children of beneficiary families and which will take place on Sunday, December 15.”

Furthermore, like every year, Secours Populaire is organizing a distribution of festive packages. These packages, filled with food products and sometimes small surprises, allow many families to enjoy some treats during the end-of-year holidays: » This distribution is in addition to the food distribution that we provide in Foix twice a week (…). This festive package will be made up of Ariège and regional products, including honey from the Region, salmon and even Couseran cheese.
