Monday August 26, 2024, the shooting left one dead and one seriously injured, two relatives of the rapper, in La Grande-Motte.

The operation carried out this Monday morning targets members of the DZ Mafia, the Marseille drug trafficking clan. Six people, among the 21 arrested, were taken from several prisons. The suspects are currently in police custody to try to clarify the roles of each in this case.
The operation was carried out jointly by the Marseille judicial police (Bouches-du-Rhône) and the research section of the Montpellier gendarmerie (Hérault).
Early on August 26, a burst of automatic weapons left one dead and another seriously injured in La Grande-Motte (Hérault), near the La Dune nightclub, where Marseille rapper SCH was performing. The two victims were close to the rapper. Around thirty large caliber shell casings were found on site.

According to one of the investigators' hypotheses, the rapper SCH was the target of the shots. Born in Marseille under the name of his real name Julien Schwarzer, the artist who began his career in 2015, is now considered a rap heavyweight. In 2021, his fourth album “JVLIVS II”, was in fourth place in sales behind Adele, Jul and Soprano. SCH even filled the velodrome this year.
