Jérémy Dumont and Eric Maillé are the founders of the application Local Basketaimed at promoting direct consumption of local products.
It is free and was launched at the end of 2023.
As he explained to our colleagues at Actu Lot, Jérémy Dumont firmly believes in it: “the future is direct sales from local producers”.
In one click, it is possible to find the local producers of the Cantal. “Everyone has an interest in consuming local, both the producer and the consumer, without forgetting the planet! » notes Jérémy Dumont, sensitive to ecological issues.
The range of products listed on the Local Panier application ranges from fruits and vegetables to certified organic products, including meat and fish, wines and Champagnes, non-alcoholic drinks, groceries (rice, pasta, canned goods, etc.). ) and honey.
In one click, find the product you are looking for
The application offers a direct search for the desired product, referenced by category. One more click and the technical sheet of the product opens, its characteristics and contact with the producer, via e-mail, telephone number, social network, website… No online payment, this is done carried out during the acquisition of the product, hand to hand between consumer and producer.
In addition, with the geolocation option, it is possible to have the referencing of producers, wherever you are in France.
From the News tab, the application offers the possibility of being kept informed of promotional operations, events, job offers communicated directly by producers… Partnerships are being studied with lodges , local stores.
To date, around ten Cantal producers are listed on the application (around thirty in the Aura Region) generating traffic of just over 15,000 users, indicate the founders.
For the moment, referrals remain “mainly” concentrated in the South-West and must extend to the whole of France. The rise of the application remains linked to the increase in the number of producer references.
