First round for e-sport – Saint-Jean-le-Blanc (45650)

This is a first in and in : the “E-sport Facilitator” training opened its doors in September in Formasat. This course opens to all professions in the discipline.

C atherine Spiteri, director of the Formasat apprentice training center, which offers diploma training in sport, tourism and entertainment, welcomed, on Thursday, Carole Canette, vice-president of the Centre-Val de region, delegate to high schools, education, youth and high school life.

The latter was invited to meet the ten young people who joined, at the start of the school year, this new “e-sport facilitator” training, supervised by Steve Bourillout.

Digital and gaming enthusiasts

“The e-sport training will allow them to learn animation in sport gaming, project creation and management, teamwork, technique and communication,” explained the coordinator. “We are preparing an event which will take place internally on December 17, but which will concern learners from all training sessions. »

Carole Canette explained to these enthusiasts of “digital and gaming, at the confluence of sport” that she had come to help them “to make this training known and give it a spotlight”. Words supported by a grant of 25,000 euros for the purchase of equipment.

One of the students, Issa, said he wanted to “create an educational association that unites sports education”. Damien, a little older than the others, has already worked, notably in the army: “I have a slightly different project. I would like to go to businesses.” Finally, Téo wants to work on a sedentary lifestyle: “I would like to mix video games and the practice of sport, the virtual and reality, with a component on risk prevention. »

The director of this “unique training in France” wishes to open a room to the public, particularly on Wednesdays, “to allow young people to play in complete safety and to inform them of the dangers of the game”.
