Saturday November 30, 2024, two interventions by the gendarmes on the roads of Seine-et-Marne led to police custody.

The first arrest took place in Saint-Germain-sur-Morin. A 33-year-old driver was stopped while driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The analysis revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.61 grams per liter of blood, as well as cocaine consumption. The driver will soon be summoned before the Meaux court to answer for his actions.

A few hours later, on the RD637, in Fleury-en-Bièrea 22-year-old young man lost control of his vehicle. As a repeat offender of driving under the influence of drugs and despite a suspended driving license, he will have to appear before the Melun court.

Watch out for wild animals

In this context, the gendarmes wanted to recall a recurring problem at this time of the year: the increase in accidents involving wild animals. With the increase in animal crossings, particularly at dusk when they are looking for food, no area of ​​the department is spared. Caution remains important, especially on roads crossing wooded or poorly lit areas.
