At 8 a.m. this Saturday, residents of Pays de la Loire had promised to make nearly 400,000 euros in donations to finance research projects on rare diseases.
250,330 euros in pledges in Loire-Atlantique and Vendée
According to the AMF Téléthon, which centralizes all the promises, on the internet and via 36.37, 187,081 euros in pledges had been made in Loire-Atlantique, the most generous department in the region. In Vendée, the meter exceeded 63,000 euros at 8 a.m.. And the numbers are expected to continue to rise until Sunday evening.
More than 23,000 events are organized throughout France to raise funds. From hikes, to races, to balls and challenges of all kinds, hundreds of events are also scheduled this weekend in Loire-Atlantique and Vendée.
