His artistic brand revolves around four colors: black, white, gold and blue, diluted to different degrees to create shades of hue.

Visual artist, Isabelle Diffre has found her artistic path since she discovered Claude Monet's famous Water Lilies at the age of 8.

Painting never left his mind again.

Even though she holds a master's degree in literature, she has remained focused on pictorial expression, also attending the Paris-Cergy National School of Arts.

Handmade

She paints by hand, truly with her hands, placed directly on the canvas. “To create the accident and play with it, because I never know what I'm going to do. Working instinctively,” she explains.

It is through this philosophy of life that she composes. Often large formats, like those she is currently presenting at the Cergy-Pontoise Tourist Office.

Canvases measuring 190 x 130 cm on which she begins by spreading the colors flat, before straightening the frames to continue the composition.

“Everyone takes ownership of the creations,” she observes during the rare exhibitions where she presents her creations.

Water and sand

Originally from Cergy, water has always been one of its natural elements. The ponds of Neuville, the Oise, the Ravine de l'Hermitage in Pontoise, are reflected in his paintings. “

She is a local artist, remaining anchored in the territory. There are often veins in his paintings which recall the roots of his belonging.

Her father was an SVT teacher (earth sciences and life) at the Touleuses college and she grew up in a world of alchemy with the environment that surrounds her.

She even did geological excavations.

“We dug the soil in search of sediments and other buried traces that I still use in my work,” she emphasizes.

She not only paints, the visual artist also composes on other media.

For her luminous balls, she took the opportunity of a campaign to modernize public lighting in the Cergy-Pontoise conurbation to recover the globes from street lamps and revisit them.

“I sand and apply paint which can take three to four weeks to dry. » A resinous acrylic that gives the effect of an Indian ink engraving.

Isabelle Diffre's exhibition is an opportunity for the public.

The artist no longer frequents salons. She also opens her Pontois workshop for visits and school workshops.

She works on request. The Martinez hotel in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes) ordered paintings from him which adorn the grand staircase of the palace.

With the sole requirement of using ultramarine blue, the color of the luxury brand, on the shores of the Mediterranean.
