New homicide in Val-d'Oise. This Friday, November 29, 2024, a 27-year-old man was shot in the head in an apartment on rue des Carreaux in (Val-d'Oise).

A neighbor in shock

According to our information, it was residents of the building who alerted the police around 3 p.m. after hearing a gunshot. Upon entering the apartment, officials discovered the victim on the ground in cardiorespiratory arrest. Quickly on site, the firefighters and Samu doctors could only have noted the death of the victim.

The latter took care of a neighbor found in a state of shock. She was finally left on site after the firefighters' assessment.

The shooter on the run

While the shooter fled before the arrival of law enforcementhe was still actively sought by police at 7:15 p.m. “No arrests have been made at the moment,” underlined the public prosecutor, Pierre Sennes, after visiting the crime scene.

The origin and circumstances of the tragedy remained unknown this Friday evening. “We are at the very beginning of the investigation”, notes the public prosecutor who specifies that no weapon was found in the apartment although a “homicide investigation has been opened”.

Fourth homicide in two months

This is the fourth homicide in Val-d'Oise since the beginning of October. During the night of Thursday October 10 to Friday October 11, 2024, a 22-year-old young man was shot to death in . Also in Sarcelles, Ali, 17, was stabbed to death on Tuesday, November 12.

Last week, the lifeless body of a 65-year-old resident, stabbed multiple times, was discovered by firefighters in her apartment in Magny-en-Vexin. Suspected of having killed her mother, her daughter, aged 31, was indicted for homicide in her ascendant, she was placed in pre-trial detention at the women's remand center in ().
