Wednesday November 27, 2024, RTL revealed “a major and spectacular breakthrough” in the case of the missing people from Isère: the arrest and placement in police custody of a man, suspected of two murders committed in 1988 and 2000 in the department. We then learn that he is a sixty-year-old, identified by his DNA, who could therefore be involved in the deaths of Nathalie Boyer and Laïla Afif. Then, the next day, as his police custody was coming to an end, our colleagues from Le Parisien revealed more information on the profile of this mysterious retiree. This is Mohammed C., a 63-year-old from Dijon from Morocco, known until now to the police and justice services for minor offenses. A former worker at Renault and also a former municipal agent, “Momo” is described as a divorced man, who had no longer spoken to his children since his first stay in prison. “A seducer with multiple conquests”, but nevertheless a “peaceful”, “quiet” and “helpful” retiree according to his neighbors, he is today suspected of being a possible serial killer.
Mohammed C. was confused by a genetic analysis of relatives: his son's DNA, taken in connection with a sexual assault case, matched one of the unknown DNAs discovered at the crime scene by Laïla Afif.
