The ADMR of Tarn-et-Garonne organized, during the month of October, numerous events as part of Pink October. To close this campaign, the ADMR presented a check to our partner the Artémis Association.Throughout the month of October, the ADMR of Tarn-et-Garonne mobilized its 12 Associations as part of Pink October for the prevention of Breast Cancer. Pink October is a national awareness campaign on Breast Cancer which today affects 1 in 8 women. The ADMR of Tarn-et-Garonne wanted to get involved in this solidarity approach to reach as many people as possible thanks to its volunteers and employees. The Home Help professions are mainly positions occupied by women and it was important to involve them in this cause. The ADMR of Tarn-et-Garonne proposed awareness-raising actions in its associations by involving the coordinator of the Artémis association, Ms. Miquel. The ADMR Associations also proposed actions and events in partnership (stands on the markets, hikes, pétanque competitions, opening of the Molières Rescue Center, etc.) which made it possible to collect donations which were given to the Artémis Association . On Friday, November 29, the ADMR of Tarn-et-Garonne therefore presented a check for €7,081.51 to the Artémis Association, in the presence of the Vice-President of the Artémis Association, Dr. Mathilde Usieto, the Coordinator d'Artémis, Sophie Miquel, the President of the ADMR Federation of Tarn-et-Garonne, Jacques Thibaut, the General Director, Stéphane Denardi, a representative of the Montauban Town Hall Sabine Si Belkacem Deputy Mayor and the Presidents of the local ADMR Associations in the department as well as numerous volunteers and employees who contributed to the success of this campaign. The heart cushions, made by volunteers, employees of the ADMR of Montauban and people from the Montauban Social Center, were also collected and will be given to breast cancer patients.
