Following the fire which destroyed six refrigerated trucks from the Gard Food Bank on the night of November 27, Chloé Ridel, MEP and spokesperson for the Socialist Party, made a personal donation of 500 euros to the association.
This act of solidarity takes place in a context where the Food Bank is facing damage estimated at nearly 500,000 euros. Chloé Ridel expressed her indignation at this tragedy: “All light must be shed on the circumstances of this tragedy. It is unacceptable that goods intended to help the most deprived can be attacked. The Gard Food Bank plays a cardinal role in the fabric of solidarity in Gard.
