It is by following his grandfather, Serge Saffreyin the garden that Lisa Crespin fell in love with the “earth”.

In the village of Bailleul (Orne) the young woman has set up her own market gardening farm which she is presenting in November 2024.

His parents not too much for

Although her parents encouraged her to continue her studies, she never gave up her dream of working in market gardening.

After earning her bachelor's degree and working as a social worker, she finally realized her dream by working for two years in various vegetable growing companies. She also obtained a BPREA (Professional certificate for agricultural business manager) in Sées.

In bio conversion

At the start of 2024, after having always lived with her family in Bailleul, Lisa looked for land to set up as a market gardener. Thanks to a partnership with Monique and Michel Bergueit was able to establish itself on two hectares of useful agricultural area.

Today, at 28 years old, Lisa markets her first vegetables grown on the Haut-Vorcher farm. Currently, 5,000 m² are cultivated and a 900 m² greenhouse is being built.

In converting to organic farming, she specifies that she will only be able to obtain the label after two years.

Inauguration of the operation and the store

On Wednesday, Lisa inaugurated her operation and her shop. She wants to sell her production directly on site, thus making it possible to offer low prices in the absence of intermediaries. Among the products available, we find potatoes, leeks, beets, carrots, cabbage, zucchini, and salads.

A partnership with the Sainte-Famille school in Trun has also been established to provide the canteen. In addition to vegetables, homemade processed products such as soups, apple juice and jams are also available. The shop also offers eggs, cider, perry, honey, oyster mushrooms and bread on consignment sale.

Schedules and tastings

The boutique is open every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Once a month, a tasting is organized. During the inauguration, pumpkin was in the spotlight in different forms, such as cakes and soups. In December, the leek will be in the spotlight.

A warm welcome from the municipality

To welcome Lisa Crespin, the municipality offered her a cherry tree to plant, a symbolic gift since Bailleul is the capital of cherries.
