At the Ferme du Louvier, La Poste de l'Eure has a new relay point

Since the beginning of November, three farms in Eure have hosted a La Poste relay point as an experiment. Among these farms, the Ferme du Louvier in Bâlines.

A new string to the bow of the owners while the place already served as point Pick Up to pick up packages.

Experiments on farms

This new adventure for Patricia Auffret began a little before the summer of 2024. “La Poste asked me to find out if we would be willing to open a La Poste relay,” she explains.

At first, Patricia was skeptical because there was already a La Poste agency in Verneuil-d'Avre-et-d'Iton, but “La Poste told us that the national trend was to close counters so they wanted to make a experimentation on farms to have a much larger opening range”.

Finally, Patricia Auffret decided to take the plunge. In this new relay point, the minimum service is guaranteed.

We sell stamps, franked envelopes, we receive registered mail and send packages.

A new workload, but which has advantages for Ferme du Louvier. “It generates traffic and it provides an additional service to our customers.”

Ideally located

It must be said that the operation is ideally located for this type of service. “We are halfway between Tillières and Verneuil. There are lots of small hamlets around and people already come here to pick up their packages.”

A Pick Up relay that has worked very well since its installation. “We have deliveries every day. It allows us to reach another clientele in the store.”

Customers are delighted

Before fully launching the service, Patricia Auffray had warned her customers of the new product. “Their reaction was quite positive. Last week, a lady told me that she would now come and collect her stamps here.”

Especially since the service is offered during store opening hours and therefore on Saturday afternoons. “This allows La Poste to extend their offer through us.”

Parallel remuneration

With this La Poste relay, Ferme du Louvier also receives parallel remuneration which is linked to the volume sold. Moreover, now, “we will be able to weigh our packages directly and tell our customers the price”.

A win-win system that is sure to appeal to everyone.
