Vancouver tops the rankings
It is the city of Vancouver, unsurprisingly, which ranks as the most expensive in the country for Airbnb rentals, confirming its reputation as a popular but expensive destination.
Lévis, Quebec, Montreal and Laval thus show that the Airbnb rental market in Quebec is far from cheap, ranking among the most expensive in the country.
Methodology: This study conducted by the financial advice site Money.ca used a list of the 50 most populous Canadian cities from Statistics Canada. Airbnb’s income tool then calculated the average income for each city by renting a private room or an entire home (1, 2 or 3 bedrooms). Finally, these average incomes were grouped together to establish a final ranking.
