Seine-et-: at the cooperative store, we consume organic and local products at affordable prices

At the Coop'In cooperative store in , whose customers are members and offer two hours per month, we play the short circuit card, really short. There is plenty to do, between organic chickens and eggs from the Cour des Lions in La Tombe, organic pasta, flour and lentils from Moissons d'Émeline in Vert-Saint-Denis, market gardening from the Jardins de BiotopiHa in Vaux-le-Pénil , sausages and hams from the Moneuse farm in Dagny, yogurts from the Sigy farm, local bries, Tancrou goat cheeses, potatoes from the farm d'Éprunes in Réau, beers from the Brasserie des Grottes in Boissise-la-Bertrand, etc. An encouraging sign is that the amount of the average weekly basket has increased from 38 euros in 2023 to more than 45 euros in 2024. Word of mouth, social networks and participation in external events attract new cooperators.

Born in February 2021, this cooperative society of collective interest (SCIC) — which today has more than 200 cooperators — is based on the quality of the vast majority of organic products and affordable prices. As part of the Alimenterre festival this Friday, the Melun store is co-organizing with Alternatiba Sénart 77, a debate evening at the Les Variétés cinema after the broadcast of the film “La Théorie du boxeur”. A reflection on the agricultural and food issues of our time.
