Magic and good deals: the program of Christmas festivities prepared by the town of Nemours (Seine-et-Marne) and the merchants' association promises very nice moments.

The city will launch the festivities this Friday, November 29 with the start of the Christmas lights on Place de la République from 6 p.m., followed by an intergenerational concert and family activities. A roller skating rink, carousel rides and hot drinks will also be offered free or at a reduced rate. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., the party will continue with a disco evening on the roller rink.

From this date until December 31, the Christmas Village will take up residence on Place de la République. It will offer a roller skating rink, a carousel, an Advent calendar with daily surprises, and a mailbox for children wishing to write to Santa Claus. They will have until December 18 to send their letters and hope to receive a response. A gourmet offering will complete the festive atmosphere with a sweet and savory food stand, including oysters, braised ham, and hot chocolate. Visitors will also have the opportunity to immortalize their memories with a selfie spot.

Black Saturday et spectacles de rue

Saturday November 30 will mark an exceptional day, with special promotions in local businesses, reaching up to 60% off, as part of the “Black Saturday” operation. The day will be animated by a gourmet Christmas marketa carriage with Santa Claus and mascots, as well as a festive stroll to the sound of the Batucada Paracata. In the evening, the Terrasses du Moulin will host a fireworks display, followed by a rock concert with the group Pick-up.

The program will continue throughout the month of December with various shows provided by the Harlequins company, mascots and highlights such as “Santa Claus and his elf” on December 21.

– Presence of the mascots on Wednesday mornings at the Champs-de-Mars market and in the afternoon at the Christmas village

– “Hors piste” street show, Saturday December 7, by the Compagnie des Arlequins, departure from Place de la République at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

– Street show “The marvelous yetis”, Saturday December 14, by the Arlequins, Place de la République, at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

– Santa Claus and his elf, Saturday December 21, at 10 a.m. at the Champs-de-Mars, 2 p.m. in the city center, parade of Santa Claus and his elves at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
