La Souterraine: Minister Delegate for Transport François Durovray on a visit

Arriving by train at 9:30 a.m., the Minister Delegate for Transport, François Durovray, spent a few hours west of Creuse: this morning of Friday, November 29, he visited the employment and training center of La Souterraine, before joining Limoges for a meeting around the POLT line (Paris-Orléans-Limoges-Toulouse). Welcomed by the prefect of Creuse and several elected officials, notably the president of the Departmental Council Valérie Simonet, they first discussed the services of the MAP network, which offers mobility support through microcredits or even rental of solidarity cars. François Durovray was able to speak with some beneficiaries of these services.

Valérie Simonet insisted, to the minister, on the importance of the POLT line, which connects Paris to Toulouse, via La Souterraine: “without this line, which is the only one that allows us to go back and forth to Paris, we would be completely landlocked. The problem is that it is not reliable, there are too many delays and canceled trains.” The president of the Departmental Council also reiterated to the minister that Creuse wanted to be a pilot department for the light train on short lines.
