A truck full of pigs overturns in Morbihan, impressive images

Monday November 25, 2024, a road accident occurred on the Departmental 10 between Malestroit and Plumelec (Morbihan), involving a heavy goods vehicle transporting 180 pigs.

The road complex overturned in a ditch, requiring emergency services to intervene to save the animals and secure the area.

80 pigs saved

The accident mobilized 24 firefighters, including animal risk specialists.

Thanks to their coordinated intervention, 80 pigs were saved. The operation, complex and delicate, took place throughout the night and required the closure of the main road to ensure the safety of teams and users.

The driver of the heavy goods vehicle, a young man of 23, was taken care of by the emergency services and transported in an emergency relating to the Ploërmel Hospital Center.
