Breteuil-Embranchement East the only station in the area of Picardy Oise. She is located at 7 km from Breteuil, could have a new car park next year. Elected officials from the Community of Municipalities are awaiting the grant agreement.
Soon the end of the hassle for travelers who take the train at Breteuil Embranchement?
After years of waiting (the file has been open for a dozen years), the project management study for a new car park has finally been launched.
Dialogue has now been established between the Oise Picardy community of communes (CCOP) and Gare & Connexions, the company in charge of station management.
Waiting for grants to start construction
Pierre Dugrosprez, vice-president of the CCOP, details the planned development: “This car park will have 40 spaces and will be located on the right, upon arriving at the station. The current places in front of the building rwill be“.
But it is still too early to bring forward the construction launch date: “We are awaiting feedback from the Department and the Region following our grant requests.” Elected officials would nevertheless like work to begin next year.
There will also be lighting work on the site. This is autonomous solar lighting.
Opened in 1846, the Breteuil Embranchement station is the only one in the Picardy Oise region. It is located 7 km from Breteuil-sur-Noye.
Depending on the eight TER trains that stop there daily, travelers use it to go to Paris, Amiens or Lille. “Traffic has increased over the past year” welcomes Pierre Dugrosprez.
Beyond the parking lot, the CCOP would subsequently like to see a complete renovation of the site.
The station in the simplified mobility plan
In the Simplified Mobility Plan (PMS) recently presented to the community council, one of the axes concerns the need to connect the station to the town center of Breteuil where there are several centers generating flows, whether colleges, companies or the medical institute (IMB).
The firm in charge of the file mentions a shuttle system from the station.
