Three young people, including a minor, taken into custody after the rape of a sixty-year-old woman during a burglary

Three young people, including a minor, aged 16 to 23, were placed in detention after their indictment by the Nîmes public prosecutor's office. They are suspected of being the perpetrators of the violent attack on a 63-year-old woman in Mende (Lozère) on November 20.

That evening, three hooded people broke into the home of this family assistant from the department. Violently beaten, she was given twenty-eight days of ITT.

Two minors raise the alarm

“Two minors placed by child welfare who were in the house took refuge in their room to call for help,” underlines Nathalie Welte, deputy public prosecutor of Nîmes. On site, the national police were able to arrest one of the three suspected perpetrators, the other two managed to flee. Two people were arrested a few days later.

They are indicted for rape in a meeting, burglary in a residential premises aggravated by the circumstance of the meeting. They face the penalty of twenty years of criminal imprisonment.
