Three young people indicted for gang rape of a sixty-year-old in Mende

Three young people were placed in pre-trial detention, the Nîmes prosecutor announced this Wednesday. They are suspected of having entered the home of a 63-year-old woman to rob her, before raping her, on the night of November 20 to 21 fine. The victim, who is family assistant for the Lozère departmental councilis not alone at the time of the events. Two minors, placed with her by child welfare, took refuge in their room where they raised the alarm. Dispatched to the scene, the police had time to arrest one of the three suspects. The other two managed to escape. They were finally arrested a few days later.

All are now indicted for “rape in a meeting, burglary in a residential premises, aggravated by the circumstance of the meeting”, specifies the Nîmes public prosecutor's office. The sixty-year-old was prescribed 28 days of ITT.
