Autonomy: the Conference of Funders supports 52 projects throughout the country

The Conference of financiers of the prevention of loss of autonomy of the elderly was established by the law on Adaptation of Society to Aging of December 28, 2015. Following a call for projects launched last July, 6 independent residences were were supported, while 52 projects were supported.

The Conference of Funders makes the Departmental Council the leader in prevention for the benefit of seniors. It is in fact managed by the Departmental Council, in close collaboration with the Regional Health Agency (ARS). This conference brings together players in the sector on shared actions and strategies to help build more understandable and coherent responses for people.

Its main missions are:

  • carrying out a diagnosis of the needs of people aged 60 and over, residing in the department, and the inventory of local initiatives,
  • the definition of a coordinated program for financing individual and collective prevention actions.

These responses mainly concern:

  • improving access to equipment and individual technical aids,
  • the allocation of an autonomy package by the Departmental Council to Autonomy Residences
  • coordination and support for prevention actions implemented by multipurpose home help and care services (SPASAD),
  • the development of other collective prevention actions around several themes: mobility, social bonds, aging well, help for caregivers, prevention of loss of autonomy.

In 2024, 6 independent residences were supported by the Conference of Funders for a total amount of €108,298 and 52 projects supported in the department for an amount of €528,431.
