The man arrested in Portugal on November 21, suspected of the murder in September of a municipal agent in Grenoble (Isère) will be handed over to France at the end of the evening on Thursday, November 28, franceinfo learned from a source close to the matter.
Once he has landed in France at Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport, he will be presented to a liberty and detention judge in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis). Targeted by a European arrest warrant, this 25-year-old man will then be presented to an investigating judge in Grenoble within the following four days.
This man is suspected of having killed Lilian Dejean, a 49-year-old cleaning agent, on September 8. The victim was hit by a bullet in the chest. This municipal agent was trying to detain a man who had caused a traffic accident.
During a press conference, the Grenoble prosecutor specified that the suspect has 19 convictions in his criminal record, for acts of violence but also for drug trafficking.
